Corona Virus Statement – Updated 18th Nov ’21

We are open - book an appointment

It is still a worrying time for most people, and we ask that you to help us to reduce the risk to yourselves and our staff (some of which are vulnerable and/or have vulnerable families) in order that we can continue to serve you and care for your bikes. All customers are required to wear a mask in store. If you are exempt then we are happy to serve you outside.

Visiting the Store – Appointments have Priority

For in store shopping, we are open as normal now, though it is a huge help if you can book an appointment so that we can be prepared for your visit, effectively manage numbers in store and help avoid long wait times outside.

It’s super easy to book an appropriate appointment online.

Please shop alone, unless necessary to bring a child or carer. We do not have the space to accommodate large groups at the moment.

Workshop

The WORKSHOP will remain appointment only, however we are now taking walk-in repairs using free slots in our appointment system. Pop on in with your repair and we’ll get you booked into the first available slot. Our new system enables us to get your bike fixed up and back to you sooner, where parts are available from stock. We are aiming to provide a 1 working day turn-a-round from when parts become available.

Current Opening Times

  • Monday – Closed – Repair and new bike collections are available by prior arrangement– 10am to 4pm.
  • Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm
  • Saturday 9am to 5pm
  • Sunday – Closed

Chasing Repairs and Orders

Please email [email protected], or contact us using this form and we will give you an update as soon as we physically can. Please understand we are all working as hard as we can, and repairs and bike builds are being done in strict order that they were received as parts and stock become available. We are seeing delays from all our suppliers as well as delays in the courier and postal system.

Browsing and Checking Stock

If you are looking to browse the store it would really help if you could book an appointment. This allows us to manage numbers and prepare as much as possible.

If you are looking to check stock of an item, then please get in touch whilst our website is being transitioned to a new platform. We are carrying good stocks of bikes and aim to have a stock list displayed very soon.

Follow the guidance

If you or anyone in your immediate family/household are unwell or showing symptoms that could be attributable to coronavirus we respectfully ask you not to visit the shop and follow the latest government guidance.

We are making sure all contact points are cleaned multiple times a day and have suitable PPE for all our staff.

Support your local shops

Not just bike shops, but all your local shops. We will all need your support in the coming months. Think local.

We can still help

If you require assistance please call to discuss this with us (01202 424 945), or preferably use our contact form. We can collect bikes, and also deliver items.

If you would like to book a repair collection, please call the shop on 01202 424 945, or book online. If you need you bike for work transport and are a key worker, not only do you get a discount, but we will prioritise your repair to get you back on the road asap. If we can’t get it fixed before your shift ends, we’ll loan you a bike until it is fixed.

Avoid Cash Please

We would like to avoid cash payments wherever possible so please bring your bank card to take payment. We can also send invoices for online payment for any repair work or shop items.

Get out and exercise

Current guidance suggests exercise once a day is still good as long as reasonable distances are maintained. With the upcoming weather, there is no better time to get out on your bike. If you have a bike, then get it out the shed, pump up the tires and get out and ride. It will improve your mood and give you a welcome break from the indoors, especially while the sun is out!

As the current situation is a rapidly changing one we will keep you updated with any changes as they occur.
