All Shimano Service Centres have to meet high standards set by independent bodies, which have been approved by the government and industry, to gain their qualified status.
At a standard Shimano Service Centre there is one or more qualified mechanics up to Cycle Mechanic Cytech Technical Two level, and All Shimano Service Centre and Shimano Service Centre Plus bike shops use genuine Shimano components and offer an unrivalled level of competency when it comes to fixing your bike.
Shimano products are designed around your bike to make it work better and for longer. As well as a full range of wheels, shoes and pedals for every biker, the Shimano Range is broken down in to 3 distinct areas. Comfort Components, Mountain Bike Components, and Road Components. Comfort Components are designed to combine the efficiency of a road bike with the stability and comfort of a road bike, to make riding as enjoyable and fun as possible. ALFINE and Nexus are the 2 most popular Comfort groupsets. Mountain Bike components are designed to do what you want them too, instantly. The components are strong and able to withstand the vigours of your chosen discipline, whether that is hucking down a hill with Saint, racing cross country on XTR or playing down the woods on SLX. Road Bike components are designed with ergonomics and speed in mind. If you decide to use the top of the range DURA ACE or the entry level SORA range you will find it as comfortable as you do fast, ask anyone from Tour de France riders to club riders on their weekend rides.
As your local Shimano Service Centre we are capable of answering all your technical questions and should be your first port of call, especially as we can see your bike and talk to you face to face.
