Bike Servicing

Bike Repairs and Servicing

It is vitally important that you keep your bike well maintained. A well maintained bike is a pleasure to ride, performs at its best, is reliable and you get the longest life from your components. Every cyclist should be aware that a bicycle is just like any other machine – in order for it to work efficiently it needs to be maintained on a regular basis.

Please book an appointment to drop your bike into us.

Trained Mechanics

At Bournemouth Cycleworks we employ qualified mechanics trained to the highest national level for cycle maintenance (NVQ / Cytech) so you can be assured that your bike is being well looked after when you have it serviced or repaired by us. We are also members of the Professional Bicycle Mechanics Association (PBMA). We regularly attend training events from suppliers and manufacturers to ensure our knowledge is kept up to date.

Fast Professional Service

We aim to complete your repairs and servicing in 2 working days. If we need parts, subject to availability, then 3-4 working days. This is subject to our suppliers having the parts required, and delivering them on time. In the past 3 months we have completed 94% of repairs and services in 2 working days. How many other shops can say that?

Professional Bicycle Mechanics AssociationAny Make, Any Model (almost)

We are happy to work on all types of bikes from E-Bikes to road bikes to mountain bikes and hybrids to BMX bikes, even if they were not bought from us. We will even turn our hand to electric bikes, wheel chairs and push chairs. If in doubt, give us a ring – 01202 424945, or contact us to discuss your requirements. Our only exception is electrics on electric bikes that we didn’t sell and don’t get supplier support from.

How Often should I service my bike?

The type of bike you ride and the usage will dictate the frequency of servicing – but the main thing to remember is that regular maintenance is preferable to emergency repairs for you and your bike. A service once a year is a good start, but if you ride very frequently, increasing this would be a good idea.
